Sons of Fenrir will once again be hosting a training weekend at the Rosebud Run Sleddog society! It will be running all of the May Long weekend, and we will have ample space for both period and plastic camps. This is the same set up as last year, close to the town of Didsbury, AB. We are hoping to provide most assessments as well as some crafting demos. Set up is welcome any time after 2pm on Friday, May 16th, and tear down on the Monday. Itinerary and details to follow!

Re: Grimfisk 2014
Hi All
Super exciting updates for the long weekend:
1: we have showers! the sports center in Didsbury has been kind enough to open its doors to us this year, so we can have access to the showers. For those who weren't in attendance last year ... may your noses be for ever grateful. Unless you like ripe vikings, in which case you missed out. Anyway, the details are as follows: Vinland members can show their cards at the sports plex and use their showers for $2 per shower. It certianly beats dousing yourself and kit in the creek behind the field. There is also a pool and a sauna, but to access those you will have to pay the full entry cost. Maps and hours will be available at the camping site. (special note: you will need your own towels)
2: There is a Tim Hortons in town!
3: as a reminder, you are on your own for food! there are a few grocery stores in town, but they tend to close early. The next nearest larger town is Olds, which is 20 mins North of Didsbury, but there are larger grocery chains there with more selection.
We will do what we can to provide maps pointing out the local amenities (read: liquor stores, grocery stores, drug stores, Tim Hortons) and give accurate directions.
For those coming from far away ... please let us know ASAP if you need any camping supplies. We make no guarantees but we will do our very best to make sure you are accommodated. Also, we will be posting yellow arrows leading from the main high way to Rosebud Run.
I think that's it for now, so bring food, bring change, bring me coffee... and if you need a contact number, please contact me or Tracy via email or facebook.
Cheers! see you all soon
